Link Sharing:  Every year thousands of meeting planners visit www.eventeasy.com,  they find us through major search engines but often it’s the promotion of this site through our magazine that informs them on where to find us on the web.  The hundreds of thousands of corporate meeting planners who subscribe to our magazine know about our website which  gives us a tremendous advantage over websites that do not have print or other media outside of the internet promoting them. 

To attract even more visitors to our site we now incorporate what is known as “Link Sharing”.  This is when one website agrees to place another sites web address on their website.  What is important in making this work is that you get your competitors to reciprocate with you in this manner, not a business that isn’t in the same business as you.  You might ask why you would want to place a link on your site that would allow visitors to go to your competitors website?  The answer is that all the content from your competitors website appears to Google, Yahoo, and the other major search engines as content on your site.  These search engines look for sites that have the most content pertaining to the command criteria consumers place in their search engines.  This can be done in a way that makes it hard for consumers to find the link on your website, so its not really going to take business away from you regardless.

Originally we were known as the Banquet & Event Guide and in 1996 we changed the title of the magazine to EVENTS to better represent the publication and its direction.  When we started  we simply wanted to provide local companies and their event planners find the local meeting and event destinations necessary to stage these events as well as all the other services they needed.
